//the great aussie road trip//

well it's been exactly a month since i wrote anything which is major league slack on my part. what can i say, just couldn't be bothered really!! it's been a rather busy month and i am now back in sydney having just spent over a week in my home town of adelaide. i had such a great time it's all too hard to put into words really [plus i can smell food and i'm starving...]. adelaide was great, spent much of it drinking and practically living at chalkers pool hall. i also finally got my tattoo which i am extremely pleased with and absolutely must rave about the service at the ink pit on anzac highway...god they are good!! get yer tatts there folks!

anyway, back in sydney after spending the last two days driving over in my trusty festiva whose name is stinky. he truly treated the road like his bitch and i am most proud of him. to all those who doubted my cars' (and nay my own) ability to do it...up yours! the trip itself was a lot of fun. me n pete listened to lots of squaa music including jurassic 5, u2, the roots, dj shadow, lauryn hill, bjork, dj krush, kruder & dorfmeister, michael jackson, joni mitchell, the smiths, cat power, handsome boy modelling school, roni size and many many more quality artists. we also stopped off in many a lame town [big up the hay massive - fondly known as the 'so solid mob'] including wagga wagga which i wrongly pronounced as it's written instead of the correct pronunciation of wogga wogga [it's not always say it as ya see it kiddies] and a glorious place called balranald where we spent the night in a wonderful yet seedy motel. the trip was pretty much uneventful, apart from getting lost as soon as we hit sydney due to the city's phobia of the right hand turn, but it's great to be back home and i feel like i may never actually want to drive again now that my car is here.

today we spent a big day of shopping in the city. a big boo hoo goes to general pants hornsby who flat out REFUSED to hold my zoo york jacket until later in the afternoon, even tho i'd put my name down for one to be held for me WEEKS ago. nice one general pants george st for raking thru the many boxes they got in to find the aforementioned jacket which i promptly purchased and stuck on my back. i also bought a zoo york cap today which i plan to wear around the ghetto style streets of hornsby and an eminem cd for $10 [parallel import - hmmm]. now i need to eat, drink and watch harry potter as pete's never seen it. rip ya!!
