//can't lose weight? you could have syndrome X!//

or u might just be a lazy sow. personally i feel the latter is probably the more common ailment. i've never looked inside the cover of sandra cabot's excuse for fat people, but maybe i should. maybe i have syndrome x? i'm not fat, but i can't lose weight either. and after seeing my big day out photos i'm thinking that maybe i should! however, i am fully addicted to the following foods: starbucks coffee, farmers union iced coffee, red bull, cooper's pale ale, cadbury creme eggs, pizza and kfc. i was supposed to begin a regime of healthy eating upon my arrival in nsw, but so far i have eaten nothing that is good for me. and i'm not exaggerating here. i mean NOTHING. i can't help it tho...i think i have some sort of compulsive eating disorder, bulimia coupled with amnesia [where i forget to throw up after]...

//existencillism//

day 4 in sydney and still nothing to report. working my butt off at borders and extremely exhausted so i've been in bed at around 10pm most nights which is not at all like me. i have the weekend off so hopefully i'll get into town at some stage. i wouldn't mind checking out the 'fruits' exhibition that's showing in some art gallery or another. also will be checking out the tracey emin exhibition when it comes to town, although apparently she's toned down her stuff for her aussie audience which is pretty lame. all this in the lead up to banksy, who should reach our fair shores in april and gee i can't wait! maybe pete will make me a nice culture section for my site and i can crap on about galleries and arty farty stuff there.

well i promised a run down on the big day out and here it is:

bands that rocked were: resin dogs - going to get their album regardless of the fact they're better live than they are on cd...they deserve this much from me after putting on a stellar show and having the boiler room absolutely rocking! kraftwerk were brilliant and i'm so glad i can say i've seen them [will be telling future generations all about this!] although i was so utterly spent by the end of the night i didn't stay for the whole set. what i saw blew me away tho...they just stood there with these laptop things on podiums and barely moved! it was great and the music was good too...much bassier than the original stuff and definately benefiting from the digital technology they're no doubt using now. foo fighters were great although i was half way over the other side of adelaide when they were on...they still rocked tho. pj harvey was gorgeous...any chick whose guitar is bigger than her skirt is cool in my book! great voice, great stage presence [tho at this point ange was being drunk and disorderly...] unfortunately i had to cut her set short to catch resin dogs. adelaide hip hop outfit the cross bred mongrels got the day off to a flying start and finally jebediah are worth a mention cause they were pretty cool even tho the crowd were a bit feral.

bands that can help themselves: the waifs - not my bag sweetie. the vines...tho in their favour they would have benefited from a smaller stage...their sound just didn't come across on the mainstage. maybe next year lads. 28 days - nuff said.

one of the best ever and already i'm dreaming of next years...this time in sydney yay!!!

well i am off to try and find me a home to call my own. finding somewhere with people on my wavelength is possibly going to be harder than i envisaged. where are all the young and interesting people with a spare room living on the north shore line in sydney?! WHERE?! hehe...well considering i've only been here for 4 days maybe i should reserve my judgement for later...ching ching!

//happiness is a tall starbucks//

well i have made it in one piece to sydney. haven't seen anything yet tho so not much to report i'm afraid! the city looks absolutely amazing from the train window t night tho so i guess that's something! hopefully i will get some time on the weekend to go thru and check it out as i'm off work but it depends on how the house hunting comes along. at the moment i'm staying with beck and josh who are fantastic. it's been much easier to come and have somewhere to stay with a familiar face [and a cooper's pale!] and have people to chat to. it's made the whole thing much more easy and while i'm missing my friends and family heaps i'm not really missing adelaide yet.

i'm staying in a place called hornsby which is quite big tho i must admit i haven't ventured past the westfield yet! borders is in the westfield and i can walk there from work so it's heaps convenient. the shopping centre is huge way bigger than marion, and it has starbucks which i believe i am now addicted to. work is fine...store needs a bit of work but everyone is really cool.

anywayz...speaking of work i should be making my way there now! will write more soon when i've actually done something, and when my computer allows me more time as irwin isn't set up for inet yet. i also have the BDO to report and since it was probably the best i've ever been to there's lots to report!

sayonara!
