i have seen what has to be one of the craziest films ever - battle royale. and gee i loved it. it's basically a feast of shooting, stabbing, slashing and blowing people up and it's quite a scary thing to contemplate it happening in reality...would u kill your friends?
last night i went to what was easily the biggest house party i've ever seen [which wouldn't be a hard thing cause i haven't really been to many other big house parties!]. approx. 2000 people converged upon a house in wayville for what is apparently an annual event. unfortunately it was extremely hot which made it hard to really get into it, especially inside where it was like an oven. but it had to be seen to be believed. they had a line up at the door, dj's in several rooms, security, ping pong and of course the cops were there probably fielding all sorts of complaints from the neighbours cause u could hear the music several blocks away and there were people everywhere. it was really cool. unfortunately we didn't really stay long due mainly to the heat, but we went to soda room afterwards which was better than it used to be and ended up having a rather large night despite the weather.
not much else is happening here. 1 week to go. still hasn't really sunk in. i have farewell drinks tomorrow night which might make it hit home a little more, but it's really weird. i'm quite excited, but i think the fact that i don't have to organise that much makes it seem a little more low key than it should be. my flight is booked and i have only to pack my clothes cause i'll come back for the rest of my junk when i come to get my car, so it seems like nothing really. i feel quite disorganised. i hope i like it there. i've been told by countless people that i will so i think it will be good. just need to get myself settled, find a place to live and meet some ppl to hang out with and it will be cool. my main worry is not really knowing anyone there...what will happen to my social life?! argh!! hehe will be interesting to see how it all turns out anyway.
well i should probably call it a night...i have an early shift tomorrow which is lame. 3 more days of work to go yay!

//the machine makes sense//
feb 1st 5.45pm and counting. that's when i leave fair adelaide to seek fame and fortune on the eastern shores of sydney "australia's most vibrant city". hasn't really sunk in yet, but in less than a fortnight i'll be a sydneysider. how exciting! there's so much to organise and so little time to do it in it's so hard to comprehend! flight is booked, now need to organise freight of stuff, still got to work too so that takes up time, no time to organise drinks or anything...will most probably just have something low key at some pub somewhere on the weekend. it's so full on!!
it's also being somewhat overshadowed today by the arrival of the extremely squaa nokia 7210...gee it's cool! i can't wait to get it all charged up and operational i love it!
well all this exciting stuff happening and it's so full on that i can't think of anything to say about it! will write more as plans take shape...
