and so the exodus begins. tonight was the first of many going away parties to come over the next couple of weeks. what's going on? i guess we're all getting to that age where u need a bit of change and to travel and see something other than the regular square mile adelaide has to offer. don't get me wrong...tis a lovely city. but surely there's something more out there, somewhere.

my current obsession with dj shadow continues. i am also obsessed with banksy [still] and maybe legolas [orlando bloom]. i think this is fairly healthy behaviour. i am also obsessed with learning the lyrics to jurassic 5 songs so i can sing along in my car...an activity that leaves me surprisingly short of breath [i can see why there's 4 of them sharing the load!]
i read on someone's blog tonight that they are currently filming a 'battle royale 2'. unfortunately i am yet to see the first one! got the tshirt and everything, just never seen the actual film...one day! give it a region 4 release dvd fascists! i also read [not on the blog tho] that kylie is doing a duet with ozzy osbourne - a rehash of her big hair duet with old pal jason 'who?' donovan, 'especially for you'. truth is indeed stranger than fiction...
anywayz...tis late and my working week starts tomorrow. off to watch mtv [which is currently screening a clip from tom jones' rather forgettable attempt at a career comeback...yuck] and sleep. oh and aussieblogs...u r lame! i advertise your site and i'm never on there...what's up with that? night night

i think it should be a compulsory thing for all houses in this state to have air conditioning. make it a mandatory building requirement. i love summer and i love the sunshine etc. but i hate sitting at night sweating on the couch like some sort of filthy pig. i want to sit under a cold shower all night...maybe if irwin could be waterproofed somehow? anyway...it's gross.
another successful weekend is behind me. minke bar again last night. started off on a bit of a bum note as downstairs was absolutely dead and upstairs i wasnt really getting into. just as we decided to head to the worldsend i heard a song i like on downstairs and me and trish decided to hell if noone else was up we'd dance anyway. 5 mins later the place was going off. was excellent and by 4am the place was fairly going off and we decided our work was done and it was time for home. why people don't just get up and dance when they want to is beyond me...so what if it's quiet? more space for u! turned out to be a pretty good night in the end up. went to abi's new abode first as planned. always good to catch up with someone u don't see very often and had a laugh as usual. hopefully we'll be going to a drum and bass nite at minke this friday then if i'm still standing i will hopefully get the saturday off so i can go to schutzenfest [or as everyone keeps correcting me 'shitzenfaced'!!]. i've never been to one before, and most people give me a funny look as if to say 'what the hell do u want to go there for?' but i think drinking large glasses of beer all day in the sun with german music and grub and ferals everywhere will be uber. apparently someone died there once after being hit on the head with a stein...anywayz...not much else happened this weekend.
i had lunch at kfc today [yuck] and was reading a copy of nw magazine when i came across an interesting bit of hollywood celeb gossip which claims that gwynnie paltrow is so keen for her boyfriend who is the singer with coldplay to win NME awards that she has been sending in heaps of email votes on his behalf. the reason they know this? because of course she has a hotmail account with the email address gwynethp@hotmail.com. can someone please give me a break? please? who the hell comes up with this stuff? AS IF SHE WOULD HAVE THAT EMAIL ADDRESS. i dunno it's one of the more dumb things i've read in my time. i really should stop wasting my money on this sort of magazine.
i'm so hot it sucks. i couldn't even eat the ruby my dad made cause it's so hot [plus i was full after kfc]. sitting with this computer on my lap is not helping much either cause irwin gets fairly fired up. lamewire isn't so bad tonight. getting some wonderful de la soul. i just finished reading the virgin suicides which i loved [did i already say this?] so now i'm listening to the soundtrack, which has some great tunes on it, but which i like slightly less than the book [the movie was kinda lame too...could have done so much more with it]
tomorrow i'm off to see LOTR [again] with my little bro. i'm mainly interested in seeing gollum again [and legolas, which goes without saying] then will probably hang out with the filthies. pleasant times...
